A beautiful day on the Great Northern Greenway

Traffic lights need to account for those of us cycling a little slower than your average car!

Hard to cycle in winter / bad weather. Tarmac would be great

Better signage to locate the cycle path past the Nestle factory.

The link from Egginton Road to the Great Northern Greenway is very narrow. When the nettles and brambles are growing it can be very uncomfortable for cyclists and walkers to negotiate. Widening or more frequent maintenance required.

Cycle lanes needed each side of road from Hatton to Hilton a large number of new housing is being built which will increase traffic

A commonly used road by cyclists from Etwall to Williington that requires cycle lanes on both sides

The road is in poor condition and unsuitable for cycling safely

Road surface needs serious improvement. Heavily used by cyclists. Dangerous potholes.

Needs dedicated cycle path as cars enter roundabout quickly

This is a quiet road for cyclists but the uneven surface and numerous postholes make it a challenge for new cyclists. Please repair the road surface

There is no way to cross the A38. A cycle bridge / tunnel linking Findern Ln with Doles Lane would open commuter routes between Etwall / Hilton and south side of Derby (eg Rolls-Royce)

Narrow cycle path is directly adjacent to 80mph heavy traffic. Draft from lorries could could unbalance riders. Needs a fence to separate cycles and traffic. Also need better arrangements to cross the slip roads.

Pavement to become cycle path

The pavement from the river path to Elvaston Castle should be widened for cycling and walking. The speed limit on the road should be reduced and traffic calming and signage consedered.

A proper shared access path is needed here to link the B5010 to Elvaston Lane

Make Pastures Estate 20 mph for safer family and childrens cycling.



Widen the path to provide safe cycle way from Mickleover to Etwall. To include entry and exit points at both islands.

This is a dangerous junction. Existing cycle lane has to cross the A50 slip road. This route is used by lots of John Port Pupils cycling from Hilton to Etwall.

Existing painted cycle lane is useless as cars park in it. Physical barriers should be installed. Safer cycling is required for John Port pupils.

The path is unpassable for any bike besides an all terrain mountain bike, a flat path is needed to enable cycling along this train to link up to the Derwent cycleway from Raynesway

A cycle path leading into Elvaston Castle, very pleasant and accessible without auto traffic - in addition the local horse riding club can keep their horses in the adjacent field knowing they won't be disturbed by cars.
